# SOC 2 Compliance

Measure is designed for correctness and security in alignment with industry best practices, at scale. With **SOC 2 Type 2** compliance, our customers are ensured an enhanced level of trust in our platform.

SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) is a rigorous framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It focuses on the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data within a service organization.

SOC 2 has two types, Type 1 and Type 2.

* **Type 1** evaluates the design of system controls at a point in time.
* **Type 2** certification goes a step further by assessing how well these controls are implemented over a specified period, typically a minimum of six months.
