Measure Contracts can be signed offline for many reasons. Measure allows you to bring these contracts into the simplified contract workflow. Offline signing flexibility: When customers choose to sign contracts offline, Measure provides seamless integration capabilities to incorporate these executed documents back into your automated workflow.

When to Use Offline Signing

There are many scenarios where offline signing makes sense for your business:
  • In-person meetings: Contracts signed during face-to-face negotiations or on-site visits
  • Alternative signing methods: Using wet signatures, digital signing platforms outside of Measure, or industry-specific signing requirements
  • Legacy processes: Integrating with existing contract workflows that were signed before implementing Measure
  • Special circumstances: Cases where digital signing through Measure isn’t available or practical

Offline Contract Processing

Manual execution tracking: The system supports marking contracts as signed offline, maintaining workflow continuity even when signatures occur outside the digital platform. Document upload capability: Optional PDF upload functionality allows you to attach the signed contract document for complete record-keeping, with flexibility to add documents immediately or at a later time.

Workflow Integration

Simple workflow integration: The offline signing process maintains full integration with Measure’s contract management system. You can mark a contract as signed offline and optionally upload the executed PDF to maintain a complete audit trail of your agreement. Once marked as executed, the contract will progress through the payment collection stage (if enabled) and then to the appropriate post-signature workflow. The contract will automatically create the associated subscription with the terms defined in the agreement, ensuring your records stay in sync even when signing happens outside the platform.
